Kateri Tekakwitha: Episode Three

Kateri demonstrates extraordinary courage in choosing to be baptized and remain among her people, the Mohawks. She then makes the heroic decision to escape with her brother-in-law, Andre, leaving the only world she’s ever known behind.

Tobacco reference. Kateri’s uncle and aunt reject her because of her faith, and Kateri leaves them without saying goodbye. Kateri is attacked on account of her faith, but rescued by Abbe Jacques and Andre.
