My name is Kiley Lawrence and I am from Northern Virginia.
What is your role at The Merry Beggars?
I am the Script Producer for The Merry Beggars.
How did you join The Merry Beggars team?
I joined The Merry Beggars in 2020 when I answered Peter’s The Quarantine Plays contest. My 10 min radio play, I Do Like the Rain was released as part of that series before we even got to Relevant Radio!
What is something no one knows about you?
I strongly dislike peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
What is the favorite project you have worked on at The Merry Beggars?
I loved working on On the Night Train. The expansive world building (finding maps, writing character bios, drawing diagrams of the train, etc.) gave me the opportunity to deep dive in a sort of imaginative research and collaborate extensively with our production and graphics team.
What is working at The Merry Beggars like?
It is a fast paced, open and honest work environment. I have grown a great deal as an artist and employee here thanks to the quick feedback loops and shared mission.
