1574. The Savoie region of southeastern France, near Switzerland. For more than fifty years, the people of the Savoie have been deeply divided by religion: Catholics on one side, and the Protestant Calvinists on the other. One seven year old boy is particularly upset by this dire situation. This is the story of Francis de Sales.

October 1891. The Hudson River Valley, New York. Mother Cabrini moves into Manresa despite its lack of adequate water. Her plans to expand the sisters’ mission include Nicaragua, China and cities across America. But first, she must overcome strong opposition and yet more trials.

As her orphanage in New York City expands, Mother Cabrini faces continued challenges and unscrupulous foes. And just as this savvy businesswoman and negotiator signs a deal for a new home for one-hundred orphans, another opportunity arises in a far off land.

Early morning, March 1889. New York City. With no home, no money, and no support from the local bishop, Mother Cabrini and her missionaries spend a sleepless night in a rat and bedbug infested tenement. Now, they must find a home, or go back to Italy in defeat.

Italy, 1889. Mother Cabrini's missionaries are in Codogno and Milan, but Frances has much bigger plans. She is determined to bring her order to the Pope's attention and win papal approval for a mission to China.

Northern Italy, 1858. In a tiny rural village, a little girl dreams of becoming a missionary. But as she gets closer to making that dream a reality, she must overcome several obstacles that stand in her way. This is the story of Frances Xavier Cabrini.

North Africa. 386 A.D. Desperate for genuine conversion, Augustine and his companions retreat to the quiet countryside for intense prayer and discernment. Although his friends try to help him, Augustine fears he’ll never be free from the sins that stand between him and God.

Roman Thagaste, 374 A.D. Augustine excuses his sinful and indulgent life, thanks to the vile heresy of Manichaeism. Bored of city life and its pleasures, he moves his young family back to Thagaste to find peace and stability. But a reunion with a childhood friend may upset that plan, and launch Augustine into new adventures.
