JETHRO. 60s. Zipporah's father and Moses's mentor. He's a Midinite priest who provides refuge and offers council to Moses. He guides Moses's mysticism and recognizes God's power.
DATHAN. 60s. Bitter and defiant Hebrew elder whose faith erodes during the desert wanderings. His growing resentment toward Moses leads to open rebellion and ultimate destruction.
Miriam, Aaron and Moses's mother. She saves Moses by sending him down the river and becomes his nurse, teaching him about the Hebrew people and their God.
