The Merry Beggars (TMB) is the entertainment division of Relevant Radio, a Catholic radio network reaching 220 million people. We create exceptional entertainment that inspires families to seek virtue and adventure. Our shows have received over 1,000,000 downloads. And we’re just getting started.

The Role

Content Publisher

The Content Publisher is responsible for protecting our most valuable asset: our audience’s trust. Without excellence in the Content Publisher role, our content is delivered inconsistently, people are confused about what to expect from us, and our relationship with our audience is damaged.

Publishing is the last stage in a nine and a half month process to produce our shows. The Content Publisher organizes the assets from various departments and sources inside The Merry Beggars, including audio, text, and visual assets. They upload them to distribution platforms and, after being proofed by an Executive, will schedule them for publication. 

It is an essential role that helps The Merry Beggars cross the finish line of delivering content. Every single week.

Responsibilities

The Daily Role
  • Organize visual, text, and audio assets from various departments inside The Merry Beggars.
  • Communicate between teams on Slack and email to ensure assets are delivered on time and placed in the correct Google Drive folders.
  • Upload and schedule assets to Omnystudio, The Merry Beggars website, and social media platforms.
  • Creating basic visual assets working from graphic designers’ templates.
  • Create and schedule episode emails for The Merry Beggars

Requirements

You'll need these things
  • Highly organized and efficient; able to turn around tasks quickly.
  • Clear communicator; able to monitor and quickly respond to emails and messages.
  • Highly detail oriented; zero errors on finished work product.
  • Capable of handling multiple deadlines at the same time.
  • Facility with technology and various software platforms that will include, but is not limited to, Google Drive, Canva, email systems (Convertkit, MailChimp, Active Campaign, etc.), ClickUp, Zoom, Slack, etc.
  • Experience working in media production environments preferred.
  • Fast computer with reliable internet access.

Timing, Location, Compensation

The Important Details

TMB is seeking to fill this position with the right candidate as soon as possible.

Expected hours will be between 5 and 15 hours per week. Hours are asynchronous and only need to meet deadlines, with weekly check-in and planning meetings.

This is a remote independent contractor position with competitive pay.
